While living on this beautiful Island is awesome, since we do have limited transit services and some pretty harsh winters, having a good running vehicle that operates on an economical and resilient set of tires is extremely important. That is why with the move in 2003 we turned our focus to tires rather than gas while maintaining the top notch automotive repair services that we have always been known for. Mike Hicken is the founder of Hicken's Service Center which he opened in October of 1990 as a way to provide himself with employment in a trade that he loved. Going to work each day and helping people get on with their day brought Mike great joy. Mike decided in October of 2021 to retire so he sold Hicken's Service Centre to his long time employee, Jeremy, as he knew that his faithful customers would be in very good hands.
Michel brings with him an easy going, can do and helpful attitude, along with varied work experience in roofing, operation heavy machinery, construction & concrete labourer as well as mechanical work. Jeremy Rayner is the Owner/Operator of Hicken's Service Centre. He started working for Mike in 1993 pumping gas. Since the automotive industry spoke to him, he traded the gas pump for wrenches by taking the automotive program at Holland College and became a licensed mechanic. Jeremy enjoys spending time with his special girl Ronda, his children Brody and Mikaela as well as side-by-siding and watching racing anywhere he can.
Keeping everything running in an organized and smooth manner is Darlene's specialty. Darlene received her training at Holland College with the Accounting Technology course. She loves spending time with her husband, Bernard Reeves, whether it is at home on their hobby farm or travelling. She also loves spending time with her now grown children, Kyle and Sara as well as Bernard's now grown children Lisa, Kass, Olivia and of course the grandchildren Calliope, Ava, Nolan, Maddy & Lily.
Scott grew up with a wrench in his hand so he knew that he would one day work in the automotive industry. He brings with him many years of experience as well as a red seal. Scott enjoys sledding, fishing, and riding his motorbike. He also enjoys his family, Ashley, as well as their children Chloe, Nazaya and Ryder.

Monty Warren has many years of experience in the automotive industry. This, along with 10 years' experience as a carpenter gives him a unique perspective on problem solving. Monty is a licensed mechanic. Monty enjoys boating, spending time with his wife Gladys, and their (now grown) children Jennica and Scott and their grandchildren.
